Red Flag is an American duo formed in 1984 in San Diego by brothers Chris and Mark Reynolds, two brothers who first grew up in England before migrating with their parents to the North American continent.
Their group name will always be confusing because Red Flag means Red Flag and at that time, this term necessarily suggests the flag of the former USSR. However, this has nothing to do with since for the 2 brothers, it only refers to the alert signal used in the practice of Surfing ...
The group released their first single "Broken heart" in 1988, a single which would meet with significant success in the Charts. Just like "Russian radio" which comes out shortly after.
Their first album "Naive art" was released a year later in 1989 and was also highly regarded. Album which will produce two other flagship singles with the title "If I ever" which comes out the same year and "Count to three" which comes out a year later in 1990.
New major single two years later in 1992 with "Machines". Title which will unfortunately be their last notorious success. Other albums will be released later, but without meeting the expected success.
To discover or rediscover.

Clips :
1988 ... the sound is trendy and shows from the outset that this group has obvious potential. Only downside, a sound that corresponds more to the first years of the decade than to the last ...
1988 ... the second title shows an obvious and salutary evolution of the style. We are already in with a second classified title for only one year of existence, a start of career for the less dazzling !
1989 ... the great adventure continued the following year with this new classified title. The group is undoubtedly one of the revelations of the end of the decade !
1989 ... a sound which nevertheless has a lot of similarity with that of Dépêche Mode. Unfortunately, Red Flag will not have the same length of career and above all the same level of planetary success ...
1990 ... a decade change which sees the group continue its momentum. An adventure that will end sooner than expected ...
1992 ... which will surely remain as their most emblematic title. And which unfortunately will be their last hit of the decade ...
2000 ... the group will be reborn from its ashes at the beginning of the 2000s but without ever regaining the level of success that they will have known at the end of the 80s. This will not prevent them from producing titles with more than certain quality !
2002 ... once again the proof with this highly inspired title. An excellent group which would have really deserved a recognition much higher than what it was ...
