Walking on sunshine...

Rockers Revenge is an american concept-project launched in 1982 by Arthur Baker, a concept-project whose lead singer will be Donnie Calvin. Which will be quickly assisted in singing by Tina B who is none other than Baker's own wife and occasionally by a backing vocalist named Dwight Hawkes.

The duo / trio will remain mainly in the musical history of the 80s for the enormous single "Walking on sunshine" released in 1982.

As such, they deserved this article.

To discover or rediscover.

Clips :

1982 ... a nice title to start with but which unfortunately will go under the radar. They will have to work a little longer to hope for a first success worthy of the name ...

1982 ... the lesson has been learned at first glance. The group is back in force with this new title, in fact a cover of Eddy Grant's title dating from 1979, and intends to win the cup this time. Rightly so because this title will literally set fire to all the Dancefloor on the planet and offer the group a direct place in the musical Pantheon of the 80s. MAS-TER-FUL !

1983 ... after Eddy Grant, they are now attacking a title by Jimmy Cliff dating from 1972. Coverings which bring them rather luck because they will achieve a new success with this title. Certainly a success without commensurate with the previous one, but all the same ...

1983 ... unfortunately, the machine will seize up somewhat from this title. The awesome inspiration that wore them the year before has evaporated at first glance ...

1984 ... the tumble in the Charts is dizzying to say the least. To the point of seeing them purely and simply disappear from the rankings. Hard law of the trade ...

1984 ... they will manage to save the furniture with this title but it will indeed be the last time. An adventure to say the least ephemeral but which nevertheless produced one of the most emblematic Dance titles of the decade ...
