Dee D. Jakson, real name Deirdre Cozier, is an English singer who began her artistic career in the early 1970s not as a singer, but as a film producer in Munich, Germany.
It was only in 1977 that she turned to song and released her first Single "Man of a man". A first Single that will go completely unnoticed.
She did it again a year later in 1978 with the Single "Automatic lover" and there, the result would be radically different. The Single is a real worldwide hit and literally explodes the notoriety of the singer.
A flagship Single taken from her first album "Cosmic curves" which also came out in 1978. Album from which a second mega hit was extracted, namely "Meteor man".
The year 1979 saw the release of the Singles "Which way is up" and "Fireball". Admittedly, the level of success is not comparable with the 2 previous Singles but "Fireball" will experience a very honorable run in a number of Charts.
New album "Thunder & lightning" in 1980, album which will mainly produce the top hit "S.O.S. (Love to the rescue)". A top hit that will already be the last because anything that comes out afterwards will have only limited success.

Tracks :
1977 ... quite promising 100 % Disco beginnings but which lack some relief. She will still have to work, that's clear ...
1978 ... and the work quickly bears fruit since she obtains the biggest success of all her discography with THIS title. A dazzling success to say the least ! HU-GE !
1978 ... in the same vein. A BIG year 1978 with no less than 2 titles of great caliber which brought consecration and celebrity. What more !
1979 ... a very British style typical of the end of the 1970s. Unfortunately, in this style, there is some good and some not so good. This title would rather be part of the 2nd category ...
1980 ... the singer may well hang on in this new decade, unfortunately success will inexorably flee her and she will never get back to the leading pack
1980 ... it's nice, of course, but given the competition there is, the singer's current level is really not enough to be able to compete ...
1980..a title which will not be released as a Single but which it would have been a shame to hide. So here it is brought back to light as it should be...
1981 ... a style that can only work across the Channel, that's clear. Too typical and almost impossible to export. Too bad, it had started all that well !
1982 ... there is better with this title, the sound is already more trendy and sticks more to the standards of the moment. But the delay is now too great ...
1984 ... a positive sound evolution which is confirmed title after title. Like what, nothing is ever lost !
1984 ... even if she has not reached the top of the Charts for a long time, she continues on its way without asking too many questions ...
1985 ... a year 1985 which will not remain as its best, it is clear. A lack of inspiration that really contrasts with the competition, which does not lack !
1992...we will lose sight of her for almost 7 years but she will still attempt the transition to the 90s. Rightly or wrongly, the future will tell us...
1992...even if there won't be a miracle, she will at least have tried. And in any case, it's the core fans who at least find what they're looking for...
1992...what she continues to offer is far from unworthy in any case. But his good will will not be enough to allow her to get back into the race unfortunately...
1996...we will find her in EuroBeat mode four years later and incredible thing, it works like hell. Going from Disco to EuroBeat, we had to do that one !
