Eugene Wilde is an American singer who started his artistic career in the family group called 'La Voyage', a group that will perform mainly in local clubs.
Group that changed its name during the 1970s and renamed itself 'Tight Connection' then 'Simplicious'.
We find him at the end of the decade in a new group 'Today, Tomorrow, Forever', a group with which he will record an album in 1979.
The solo career began in 1984 with the release of a particularly successful eponymous first album, which produced what will remain as the artist's reference single, namely "Gotta get your home tonight". .
A smashing start that he will not succeed in confirming thereafter since the album "Serenade" which will be released a year later in 1985 will not really know the same level of success as its predecessor. He narrowly got away with it thanks to the single "Don't say no tonight".
Other albums will be released later but these will only experience a very limited level of success...
To discover or rediscover.

Clips :
1984...first title and first top hit directly. An ideal start to say the least and which will propel this young unknown to the front of the stage in a sensational way to say the least...
1984...the problem is that he set the bar so high on his first title that competing is a feat pure and simple. This title will pay the price as they say...
1984 ... a year 1984 all the same of the most favorable for the artist since all the titles released will be classified. Certainly on different levels, but still...
1984...business picks up with this title, which shows that there was really no reason to worry...
1985 ... he will sign here a new top hit which allows him this time to obtain his direct ticket for posterity. And once again on a title full of finesse and lightness...
1985 ... once again difficult to compete with the previous title given the level of success achieved by the latter. But this title is far from deserving, that's clear...
1986...the sequel will prove to be a little more complicated to manage than expected, but that does not prevent him from managing to stay in contact with the best...
1989... we will lose sight of him for almost 3 years but here he is again at the end of the decade in a form that we will qualify as certain...
1989... he will never win a top hit again but what he continues to offer is far from deserving. Anyway, we'll be happy with that...
1989... he closed with this title a decade of the 80s which saw him hatch and then win the Grail twice. What could be better...
1992... strong in this decade of the most favorable 80s, he says to himself that it is worth trying to move on to the next decade. And on this one, history will rather prove him right...
1992...unfortunately, the unscrewing in the Charts will be at the very least violent thereafter. So much so that the singer will completely disappear from the radar almost definitively…
2010...we thought we would never see him again but it was very hard to know him. Here he is back 18 years later, who would have thought that possible...?
2011... not only is he back but he allows himself the luxury of releasing a new opus. One of the most successful opuses, which does not spoil anything, quite the contrary...
2011...unfortunately, despite this certain quality, this new opus will go unnoticed to say the least. The 18 years of absence will have definitively relegated him to oblivion...
2011... anyway his basic fans will have been able to enjoy these new titles. A bonus that they appreciate at its fair value since they did not imagine that the artist could return one day…
