B.A. Robertson, whose real name is Brian Alexander Robertson, is a Scottish singer-songwriter who really started his career by producing a first album "Wringing applause" in 1973, an album that unfortunately went somewhat unnoticed...
Then a second "Shadow of a thin man" three years later in 1976, an album that struggled to do better than its predecessor.
He would have to wait until the very end of the 70s to finally see all his efforts rewarded with the release in 1979 of what would remain his reference album, "Initial success".
Album that will project him in a smashing way on the international scene thanks to the enormous Single "Bang bang" and which will also produce a second Single of big caliber with the title "To be or not to be", title which will be released a year later in 1980.
A year 1980 which also sees the release of "Flight 19", title which will be found on his new album "Bully for you" in 1981. Album which will be his last successful album.
He will release a new - and last - album "R&BA" the following year in 1982, album which will barely escape thanks to the title "Hold me".
We will find him mainly thereafter as a composer for a significant number of artists, but also as a TV presenter in particular of musical shows.

Tracks :
1973...a first title that will not be much talked about but which at least has the merit of officially launching the career of the young Brian Alexander...
1973...afterwards, you have to start somewhere, as they say. The main thing for him at this stage is to start making people talk about him, which is the case even if it doesn't go beyond his natural boundaries...
1973...what is certain is that there is still a little work to be done to hope to begin to compete on equal terms with the best of the moment...
1976...a second opus which will not really do better than its predecessor but which proves once again the very original side of the artist...
1976...he opted for a style and sound that did not exactly fit with the expectations of the time. A perfectly assumed bias at first glance...
1976...after originality comes at a price, that of positioning oneself de facto somewhat on the fringes of the system and thus being necessarily less visible to the general public...
1979...he had to wait 6 long years before finally seeing his efforts start to be rewarded. Not much on this title but much more on the next one...
1979...and that to be rewarded, he will be rewarded ! To the point of being projected onto the international scene in a way that is to say the least shattering and to win at the same time his direct ticket to posterity. HU-GE !
1979...it would have been incredible if he could match the performance achieved on the previous title, which unfortunately will not be the case...
1980...severe drop in international success but success on the English side all the same which is already not bad. We will have to be content with that in any case...
1980...business will pick up impressively especially internationally thanks to this new title. As such, there are always reasons to believe...
1980...direct relapse behind with a level of success reached by this title to say the least very limited. Be careful not to let yourself be too far behind the competition...
1981...unfortunately this is what will happen during this year 1981, at least at the beginning of the year. A recovery proves necessary and quickly...
1981...especially since this title will go completely under the radar, which is really not going to reassure us about what will happen next...
1981...it's this duo of shock and charm that will allow him to rise to the surface in a way that is, to say the least, unexpected. Not sure that this will be enough to make him come back into the race permanently...
1982...a year 1982 with success almost close to absolute zero. Decidedly, nothing is going well on the planet Robertson at first sight...
1982...a muscular takeover is essential and as soon as possible, otherwise the exit door will open more quickly than expected...
1982...as a general rule, anthems specially written for football teams fall into two categories : those that mark history and the others. This one would rather be part of the second category...
1983... when we thought he was seriously losing momentum, here he is back on the front of the stage once again. At least in England anyway...
1983...we suspected that this duo would create sparks and that's more or less what happened. In the end, 1983 was an excellent year for him but it would be the last in terms of his solo career...
