Nilda Fernández, real name Daniel Fernández, was a Franco-Spanish singer-songwriter who really started his artistic career with a group called Les Reflets, in which his sister also played.
The solo career began in 1980 with the release of several singles including "Les bottes à mes pieds", "Les bouteilles à la mer" and other "Si tu me perds". Followed a year later in 1981 by an eponymous debut album, an album that would meet with great esteem.
Unfortunately, the relationship he had at the time with his label Pathé was complicated and he quickly cut ties with them. As a result, several years without the production of new titles.
He returned from 1987 with a new track "Madrid, Madrid", a single which allowed him to return to the front of the stage but without making himself known more than that to the general public.
It was not until the turn of the decade and 1991 that he finally saw his efforts rewarded with the huge single "Nos fiançailles". A single that will remain as his biggest record success and which will at the same time offer him a direct ticket to posterity.
Unfortunately, it will never be possible to repeat this feat, and anything that comes out afterwards will meet with limited success.
The great adventure will definitively end on May 19, 2019, the date of his death at age 61 from heart failure.
To discover or rediscover.

Clips :
1987 ... not necessarily the first steps but in any case the first notorious single. A title full of finesse which shows that this young singer has a talent more than obvious especially in the register 'With emotions' ...
1988 ... the style is atypical and does not really stick to the latest trends of the moment. A bias displayed and above all claimed ...
1991 ... the 1980s saw him flourish but it was the 1990s that would consecrate him. He signs here quite simply one of the most beautiful Intimist titles of the decade and at the same time offers himself a direct ticket to posterity. MAS-TER-FUL !
1991 ... a quality sequel but which will be unable to compete with the previous gem. Just like everything that will follow elsewhere ...
1992 ... completely out of time and out of fashion. It is clear that the singer continues his adventure without worrying too much about the reviews and the results in the Charts ...
1993 ... a real UFO with an indefinable style but which manages to surprise each time. A career on the fringes of the star system perfectly assumed ...
1996 ... even if he does more some figuration than anything else, what he continues to offer largely holds up. Afterwards we like it or we don't like ...
1997 ... omnipresent Spanish influences and this from the beginning, origins oblige. And frankly, who would complain ...
1998 ... an end of the decade which once again rhymes with softness and refinement. Nothing exceptional but a good job, quite simply ...
2010 ... after a decade of 2000 which will see him disappear from radar, here he is back in this decade of 2010 in a certain form. Unfortunately, despite an obvious goodwill, the artist will never be able to come back to the race ...
