Swans Way is an English trio formed in Birmingham in 1982 and composed of Maggie de Monde, Rick P. Jones and Robert Shaw.
Not much about them except that they released their first single "Theme from the balcony" that same year, a highly successful single.
And that things will take volume two years later in 1984 when they release their only album, "The fugitive kind". Album whose particularity, apart from its quality, will be in being in CD format, an extremely rare thing at the beginning of the 1980s and produced only 100 copies, which makes it a very rare item.
They will experience a notorious success with the title "Soul train", still in 1984. And to a lesser extent with the singles "Illuminations" and "When the wild calls "the same year.
They will end up separating in 1985 on differences of musical point of view.
To discover or rediscover.

Clips :
1982 ... completely aware beginnings. Which in no way suggests the future ...
1984 ... then suddenly, THE title which will really reveal them and which will remain as their biggest success. Admittedly, once again in shifted mode but on a melody which, this time, holds much more the road. HU-GE !
1984 ... once again thoroughly in the jazzy register. A purely instrumental track that spins at 200 km/h ... For convinced amateurs !
1984...the art of going from one extreme to another. As much as the previous title will have played the overspeed, as much this one will be all in finesse. We take, we take !
1984...their last notorious success. Ephemeral successes for an ephemeral group... but with quality ! We will therefore be satisfied with it...
