Jefferson Starship is an American band formed in San Francisco by former members of Jefferson Airplane and originally composed of Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, David Freiberg, Craig Chaquito, Pete Sears, Pap John Creach and John Barbata.
The group released their first album "Dragon fly" in 1974, an album which was to be a notorious success throughout the North American continent in particular thanks to the Single "Ride the tiger".
Success confirmed and amplified a year later in 1975 when the album "Red Octopus" was released. Album that will mainly produce the flagship Single "Miracles".
But it was with the third album "Spitfire", which was released a year later in 1976, that they achieved their biggest record success on the album side. The album is ranked this time on the 2 coasts of the Atlantic and produced their biggest Singles success in the United States with the title "With your love".
New album "Earth" in 1978, album with a notorious success once again and which will produce 2 Singles of planetary class with the title "Runaway" on the one hand and the enormous Single "Count on me" on the other hand. A year 1978 which saw Grace Slick fall deeply into alcoholism with the consequence of several cancellations of concerts and serious verbal outbursts, especially in Germany. Behavior that will have direct and particularly negative consequences on the image of the group.
The album "Freedom at point zero" which came out in 1979, and which is done without Slick precisely, sees the group paying the bill for their disastrous behavior with a seriously declining level of success. The album will still produce one of their flagship tracks with the Single "Jane".
The group still passed the 80s, but the album "Modern Time" which came out in 1981 met with only modest success compared to its predecessors. Only the Single "Find your way back" which will be extracted from it will succeed.
The 1982 album "Winds of Change" did not do much better despite the production of large-scale music videos for the time and an impressive turnover rate of clips on MTV.
New album "Nuclear furniture" in 1984, album with modest success and which will produce their last major Single with the title "No way out".

Tracks :
1974 ... a first title which fits perfectly with the latest trends of the moment and which gives the group its first classified title
1975 ... the rise in power is linear and allows the group to spread its fame all over the planet. Obviously a good omen for the future ...
1976 ... after 2 years of constant progress, the group is slowing down somewhat. Nothing to worry about but they will have to raise the level of play to avoid dropping out ...
1976 ... the group recovers immediately and delivers a title which allows them to catch up directly with the leading pack. The worst is avoided as they say ...
1978 ... after a year 1977 empty, the group returns in this year 1978 in a form more than obvious. With the key to a return of success which can only comfort them for the future ...
1978 ... a BIG year 1978 which saw them produce an impressive number of titles. And in this specific case, there is as much quantity as quality. What more !
1978 ... new title classified in this year 1978, undeniably a great vintage for the group. Not sure he recognizes a year of this ilk in the future unfortunately ...
1979 ... which will undoubtedly remain as one of their most emblematic titles. The last top hit before a slow, but inexorable, deceleration in the years to follow ...
1981 ... they will limit the breakage at the start of the 1980s, but it is clear that the best years are now behind. This does not prevent them from continuing to deliver titles of more than certain quality ...
1981 ... most of the success will now be limited mainly to the United States. This does not prevent them from believing in it and from continuing their adventure for whatever reason ...
1981 ... the second big year after 1978. Plethora of titles and quality on all levels and above all a good will which is nice to see !
1982 ... the years go by but are not necessarily alike. The 1982 Cru will not have much to do with the previous one, it is clear ...
1983 ... one of their rare single-title year. We feel that the heart is no longer there and that the adventure is drawing to an end. Hard law of the trade ...
1984 ... which will not prevent them from delivering a very last planetary class title. The whole story to end the adventure in the best possible way ...
1984 ... there will be no other miracles unfortunately. The group ends up in freewheeling but certainly does not have to be ashamed of a particularly successful career !
1984 ... come on, the story is not quite over but this title will be more anecdote than anything else. When it doesn't want anymore, it doesn't want anymore ...
1998...we thought the case was definitely over and here they are back 14 years later. To do what, it is above all the future that will tell us...
1998...we're not going to lie to each other, the best years are now behind them. But what they now offer is far from devoid of interest, that's for sure...
1998...it is certain that the level of inspiration has somewhat weakened but it is enough in any case to make a minimum of self-talk. It's already that...
2008...we lose sight of them for nearly 10 years and here they are back in this year 2008 in relative form. It is especially their musical style that poses a problem in truth...
2008...a Country style that is not likely to bring back the general public. And which is even less likely to attract the younger generations...
2020...new air hole of 12 years and they're back again. With the key to a new opus damn better inspired than the previous one...
2020... too bad they didn't know how to reinvent themselves like that long before. Because there everything could have been possible and a return to grace of the most certain...
2020...an excellent opus or almost every title is worth a detour. Like many former glories of the 80s, the return of inspiration is impressive in this decade of 2020. To be continued we hope...
