Debbie Davis is a French singer of American origin who began her artistic career as a backing singer for Sylvie Vartan in the early 80s.
In 1983, she appeared in a duet with Guy Bonnardot on the song "La plus grande bêtise de ma vie", a song that unfortunately went somewhat unnoticed...
But it was above all the providential meeting with François Valery that would completely change her life, especially when he offered her on a platter the enormous song "Joy", a song that would be found on the soundtrack of the film of the same name.
The song would be a real global hit during 1983 and brought the young singer from the shadows to the light in a way that was nothing short of spectacular.
A dynamic of success that was confirmed the following year in 1984 with the song "J'aime l'amour avec toi (Show me tonight)", a lesser success certainly but a success all the same.
Same for the title "Emotion classé" a year later in 1985, a success that will unfortunately be her last because everything she will produce after that will go somewhat under the radar.

Tracks :
1983...a first title that rhymes with a luxury cover of the cult title 'Baby come to me' dating from 1982 and performed by Patti Austin and James Ingram. A revisited version that is far, very far, from equaling the original...
1983... on the other hand, this title will not go unnoticed, far from it. François Valery offers her here a gem that she will know how to perfectly highlight as it should be. MA-GIC !
1984...there she is, propelled to the forefront in a most resounding way. A spotlight that will allow her to confirm all the good things we think of her with this new title. When it wants, it wants !
1984...unfortunately the euphoria will quickly fade away, despite titles that are not without merit, far from it. As such, nothing is ever a given...
1985...she will manage to get away with this title but it will be the last time. A career that had started under the best aspects...
1985...she will hold on no matter what and not give up. But even the best will is not enough to move mountains...
1987...everything she produces after that will go somewhat unnoticed unfortunately. With the consequence of a gradual but programmed disappearance from the musical landscape...
1988...we will find her occasionally on some major projects. But we will not see her sing anymore on the other hand...
1992...we could have thought that bringing these two together would create sparks, but it didn't work out. A failed bet...
1995...she will return one last time to the forefront in a smashing way but no one will know it, except her. And yes, the voice behind this legendary title on the french side is her !
