Karyn White is an American singer who began her artistic career in 1986 as a backing vocalist on Jeff Lorber's album "Private passion".
This is how she got noticed by the Warner Bros Records label, which signed her and allowed her to release her eponymous first album in 1988. And for a first try, it was a real success. The album was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic and produced 3 mega planetary hits which are "The way you love me", "Superwoman" and "Secret rendez-vous", just that !
We will have to wait 3 years and the year 1991 to see the release of the album “Ritual of love”, an album with less success than its predecessor but which, paradoxically, will produce the biggest hit of all his discography with the enormous single "Romantic". And to a lesser extent “The way I feel about you” which will also have a nice run in the Charts.
At the rate of an album every 3 years, the year 1994 will see the release of "Make him do right", album from which will be extracted his last notorious hit namely "Hungah".
