The Power Station is an Anglo-American super group formed simultaneously in the United States and England in 1984 and originally composed of Robert Palmer, Chic drummer Tony Thompson and 2 members of Duran Duran, namely John Taylor and Andy Taylor.
A group whose name would simply be a reference to the New York recording studio in which they recorded their first album…
A first album simply named after the group and which was released in 1985 with a huge success on both sides of the Atlantic. A huge success mainly due to a single title, namely "Some like it hot", a title that would be a real global hit and launch the group in a rather resounding way on the international music scene.
A feat that they would not succeed in repeating later despite the release in the wake of 2 new Singles still taken from the same album, namely "Get it on" and "Communication".
The quartet will try once again to return to the forefront of the scene almost 11 years later in 1996 with the album "Living in fear", hopes once again disappointed with an album not classified and which will escape narrowly thanks to the title "She can rock it".

1997...certainly they will have returned but more to please the basic fans than anything else given the meager level of success obtained by this 2nd and last opus of the super group...
