Masked moods...

Blue Rondo A La Turk is an English group formed in 1981 by Chris Sullivan who was quickly joined by Christos Tolera, Mark Reilly, Mike Lloyd Bynoe, Kito Poncioni and Geraldo D'Arbilly.

Group which will experience its first major success with their first Single “Me and Mr. Sanchez” which will be released the same year.

Success confirmed but not amplified the following year with the release in 1982 of the title “Klactoveesedstein”. Title that we will find on their first album “Chewing the fact” which will also be released that year.

A poor performance which will see certain members including Mark Reilly leave the group to form another and not the least since it will be 'Matt Bianco'.

The somewhat reworked group released a second and final album “Bees knees & chickens elbows” two years later in 1984, an album with limited success to say the least, as did the Singles that were extracted from it…

Tracks :

1981...a first title which does not lack enthusiasm, to say the least. We are therefore warned in advance, this group will go into overdrive...

1982...which will surely remain as their most emblematic title of their short career. All in a style that was, to say the least, atypical for the time...

1982...atypical style but which still works. Afterwards it is certain that it is the kind of style which cannot last for decades and decades...

1982...they can possibly slow down the tempo but only when they want. This will be the case on this title which allows to vary the pleasures a little, as they say...

1982... chase away the natural, it comes back at a gallop, so we start straight behind at overspeed. We won't remake them again as they say...

1983...one of their rare tracks compatible with a more or less normal Dancefloor rhythm. They should have made a few more like this...

1984...a new opus which will not have much in common with the previous one. And which will also rhyme with the inevitable end of the adventure...

1984...impossible for this type of title to attract crowds. A musical direction which will unfortunately put an end to the adventure more quickly than expected....
