The Jets are an American-Polynesian group formed in 1977 in Minneapolis and made up of siblings Leroy, Eddie, Eugene, Haini, Rudy, Kathi, Elizabeth and Moana Wolfgramm.
Siblings whose parents are originally from Tonga and who total no less than 17 brothers and sisters.
The group was originally called Quasar, in reference to a well-known television brand at the time. And it's their manager who's worth asking to change the band name to The Jets, this time referring to Elton John's title "Bennie and the Jets".
A first Single "Curiosity" was released in 1985 and offered the group a first notorious success throughout the Anglo-Saxon sphere. Single from the album which bears the name of the group and which will be a hit this year. Album which will also produce another Single "Crush on you", which will be even stronger than its predecessor.
New album "Magic" two years later in 1987, album with less success but which will produce on its own 6 top hits, including 2 mega. Two megas that are "Cross my broken heart" but also, and above all, "Rocket 2 U", Single which was released a year later in 1988.
The year 1989 saw the release of the album "Believe", album which will be the last notorious success of the group. Just like the Single "You better dance" which will be extracted from it.

Tracks :
1985 ... first title and first global hit, an ideal start to say the least ! Now it remains to be confirmed that they are not there by chance ...
1986 ... not only do they brilliantly demonstrate that they are not there by chance but they even continue to extend their level of success on a planetary level
1986 ... the 'little' hit of the year. They will come out by less than 4 titles in this year 1986 and the four will be classified. Mighty feat for a first year of existence !
1986 ... which will undoubtedly remain as one of their most emblematic titles. They sign here a Intimist title of any beauty which will bring them a success of the most impressive at the planetary level. MA-GIC !
1987 ... the year 1987 starts again almost on the same bases as the year 1986, that is to say. The group's success cannot be denied and it is set to last !
1987 ... even if this year 1987 is far from demerit, it will not have the same level of success as the previous year. But given what is looming on the horizon, nothing to worry about !
1988 ... 1986 was an exceptional year, 1988 will equal it, if not surpass it in terms of success. Starting with this enormous title which remains to this day their biggest record success. MAS-TER-FUL !
1988 ... a new Intimist interlude which shows the full extent of their talent in this field. An obvious know-how and among the best of the moment !
1988 ... two high-caliber Intimist titles, an extremely rare thing for the same group. They will have known how to do it and we can only rejoice !
1988 ... back to pure dance. It is clear that the level of inspiration, like the level of success, is starting to weaken somewhat but remain high level and that is the main thing
1989 ... anyway, they do not intend to stop there and the adventure continues unabated. Not sure that it will last for years but for now, nothing alarming
1989 ... there, on the other hand, there is something to start to worry about. Even if this title is not without interest, far from it, it marks the breaking point with the public and the slow disaffection that will follow ...
1990 ... they will try the transition to the 90s but the carrots are unfortunately cooked. But at this point they don't know it yet ...
1990 ... despite an obvious quality, this title will not even be classified. The fall is accelerating and nothing, and no one, will be able to stop it ...
1990 ... the last hit. A decade 90 which will unfortunately see them disappear from radars like many other groups from the previous decade. Hard law of the trade ...
1991 ... they will have been good until the end. But the tastes of the public evolve quickly, too quickly perhaps in this decade 90 leaving little chance of survival to those who will not have known how to evolve as they should have done ...
1995...after that does not mean the definitive end of the adventure. Certainly the best years are now far behind but they continue to believe in it in any case...
1995...and on principle who would blame them ? Why throw in the towel prematurely if they continue to enjoy what they do...
1997...the end of the 90s was far from being the most favorable, it must be noted. Times are really getting harder and harder for the siblings...
1997...it's not easy to capture the younger generations with this kind of title. In an ultra Dance decade, it can only go unnoticed...
1998...they try to stick to a sound that is already much more trendy but it is already too late to reverse the course of time unfortunately...
1998...will they have the courage to move on to the next decade, good question ? Because if it's just for show, what's the point...?
2014...it will take them 16 years to answer the question positively but they will definitely come back regardless. Who would've believed that...?
2014...a return that will go unnoticed to say the least but they will have at least tried. And it's not the core fans who will complain about it, far from it...
2014...frankly a shame that this return went unnoticed because there was great quality in it all. But when it no longer wants, it no longer wants...
2014...so last title or not ? Knowing that they can come back at any time, we could find them one day or another...
