Kiss me deadly...

Lita Ford is an American singer-songwriter of English origin who really began her artistic career at the age of 16 in an all-female group called 'The Runaways'. Group which will produce several successful Singles until its separation in 1979 and which will allow another member of the group to also know a destiny of the most flattering thereafter namely a certain…Joan Jett !

The solo career meanwhile will start three years later in 1982 when the singer signs with Mercury Records, a label that will allow her to release a first album called "Out of blood". Album that will unfortunately go somewhat unnoticed...

It was the following album "Dancing on the edge" which finally enabled him in 1984 to move up a gear, in particular thanks to the flagship Single "Gotta let go".

Change of label in 1988 and passage at RCA Records, a passage which will allow her to reorient her style and her sound with as a consequence the production of her biggest album, namely "Lita". Album which will offer her her first planetary hit with the title "Kiss me deadly" but also, and above all the biggest success of all her Singles discography with the enormous "Close my eyes forever", title which will be released a year later in 1989.

New album "Stiletto" in 1990, album less successful than its predecessor but still successful. Album which will produce mainly the Single “Hungry”.

It was the turn of the album "Dangerous curves" to see the light of day in 1991, which would be the last album to find favor with the public. Other albums and other Singles will be released later but will only experience a limited level of success...

1976... rare for the time to see a 100 % female group play in the pure rock category. And yet it is indeed the case...

1976... not only will they not be afraid to rub shoulders with the male gender who reign supreme in this musical field, but in addition they will do more than well...

1977...especially since they ensure in all areas from the most punchy to the least punchy. A group that will not last for years and years but some members of which will make talking about later...

1977...an adventure that will allow some of them to make their class as they say. And above all to prepare a most successful solo suite for some...

1977...a bright future especially for young Joan and Lita. But who doesn't necessarily know anything about it at the time...

1977...a last title before certain members of the group take their final flight. Including young Lita...

1983... it will still be necessary to wait 6 years before finding the singer in solo mode. A solo mode that will not succeed more than that for the moment...

1983... what is certain on the other hand is that she has kept the fundamentals of the Runaways. So we've been warned, it's going to hit hard, very hard...

1984...after a year 1983 which will have seen her pass somewhat under the radar, it could be that the year 1984 is the good one to see her finally achieve a first solo success...

1984...and here is this famous first success which will finally allow her to stand out from the crowd and show that she has everything of a 'great'...

1988...we will lose sight of her for almost 4 years but it is to better return to this new 1988 in a form that we will qualify as certain. Certain to the point of landing her first planetary top hit !

1988... huge success that she will not be able to confirm with this new title, something paradoxical to say the least...

1989...but it was without counting on this enormous title which will allow her to obtain her direct ticket for posterity. All thanks to this particularly effective duo which will offer her the biggest success of all her discography. HU-GE !

1989...and as before, a huge success is followed by a direct drop in the Charts. Sometimes you don't have to try to understand...

1990... she will succeed in bouncing back, which will considerably limit the damage. It must be said that the opposite would have been surprising...

1990...a title full of finesse and lightness that will pass completely under the radar. Definitely, it's constantly Jean who laughs and Jean who cries...

1991...once again she succeeded in raising her head in a spectacular way to say the least with this new title. With her, you have to know that everything is always possible...

1992...unfortunately the hits machine is going to seize up a little from this title. And this in an inexplicable way, once again...

1992...and yet she does everything she can to stay in the race. But her ultra punchy style has reached its limits at first sight...

1995...we find her again 3 years later in a much more laid-back style. More laid back but with rock fundamentals of course, we won't remake her again as they say...

1995...despite an obvious desire to do well, nothing helped, and she would never return to the race. But that doesn't stop her from continuing the adventure as long as she can...

1995 ... what she continues to offer is far from deserving in any case. It is clear that we will be largely satisfied with it anyway...

2009... big air hole of 14 years but here she is again determined not to let go until the end. A winning return in any case since it will allow her to classify this new opus in a way that is unexpected to say the least...

2009... what is sure is that she hasn't lost any of its rock fundamentals. Rightly or wrongly, that's something else...

2009... it is clear that this is not the kind of music suitable for all audiences, far from it. Sensitive ears refrain...

2012...we find her again 3 years later in a musical mode that is still just as punchy. It's not now that we're going to change her, it's clear...

2012...ah if she had calmed down the tempo a little more often like she does here, maybe the second part of her career would have been very different...

2012...a new opus which finally sees her offer a face a little different from all that she has shown up to now. Finally...

2013...he was certain that she couldn't deliver a title talking about Christmas in a different mode than anything she had done before...

2016... the level of productivity is not weakening in any case and here she is again, still as determined not to let go of anything until the end...
