Margie Joseph, whose real name is Margaret Joseph, is an American singer who officially started her career in 1969 by signing with Volt Records, a label that allowed her to release her first title "One more chance". A first title that unfortunately went somewhat unnoticed...
The next one "Your sweet lovin'", on the other hand, did not go unnoticed, far from it and gave her her first ranked title a year later in 1970.
The following year, in 1971, her first album "Margie Joseph makes a new impression" was released, an album that would remain the highest ranked album of her entire discography and which would also produce one of her biggest hits on the Singles side with her cover of the Supremes' title "Stop! In the name of love".
The next two albums, "Phase II" in 1972 and "Margie Joseph" in 1973 will only have a limited level of success and we will have to wait for the release of the album "Sweet surrender" in 1974 to see her return to the race in a way that is to say the least spectacular. In particular with the enormous Single "My love", flagship title of the album which will remain as the biggest title of her entire discography in terms of Singles.
New albums "Margie" in 1975 and "Hear the words, feel the feeling" in 1976, two albums with not insignificant success, which will not really be the case for "Feeling my way" which will be released in 1978.
We will lose sight of her for almost 4 years before seeing her return in 1982 with the Single "Knockout", title which will allow her to get a new prestigious star. Title that we will find on the album that bears the same name and that will be released a year later in 1983.
A year later will be released in 1984 the album "Ready for the night", album that will get by mainly thanks to the title of the same name.
Other albums will be released after but none will be able to produce a big caliber Single.

Tracks :
1970...first official title and first classified title, that's what we call a career start that was, to say the least, ideal...
1971...covering one of the Supremes' flagship titles from 1965 is a rather daring bet at this stage of their career. And yet, it will work !
1971...some titles like this one present on her first album will not be officially released but it would have been a shame to hide them, that's for sure...
1971...just like this one. In any case, it is certain that this young singer has real talent and that it is clear that this will end up producing some very high-caliber tracks...
1972...a nice title, all in finesse and lightness, moreover, in the mode of a shocking and charming duo. This will be his only title of the year 1972, but we will be largely satisfied with it...
1973...in the series of luxury covers, she decides to revisit here the title of Al Green dating from 1971. A nice cover but which will not remain as the best known of all...
1973...new title appearing on the album not to be officially released as a Single but not without interest as for the others...
1973...it would be a shame to miss out on certain titles simply because they were not officially released as Singles...
1973...this one will indeed be released as a Single and adds a new prestigious star to a list of prizes that grows year after year...
1973...a new title full of finesse and lightness but which will not have the right to be exposed in full light like others before it...
1974...she will deliver here her biggest title of the decade and once again in finesse and lightness mode. A field in which she excels more than certainly !
1974...a year 1974 which will undoubtedly remain as her greatest Vintage with 2 titles in quick succession of very high caliber. When it wants, it wants !
