Not much interesting information about Kat Mandu except that it is a Canadian concept project orchestrated by Denis Lepage (from the group Lime) and Joe La Greca.
A concept project that will remain mainly in the musical history of the end of the 20th century for the big-time Single "The break" that will be released in 1979.
For this reason alone, we had to dedicate this article to him.
To discover or rediscover...

Tracks :
1979...a first title very much in tune with its time, both in terms of sound and style. Obviously a good omen for the rest of the events...
1979...especially since they are as good in Dance as in the Intimist register. Everything is there to allow the group to do great things, at least we hope so...
1979...they still have to produce THE title that will set them apart from the crowd. They are working on it, they just have to let time take its course as they say...
1979...we are getting closer in a more than obvious way. There is not much left to pass the last level, that's for sure...
1979...and the title that will allow them to do just that, here it is ! A title that will remain as their reference title and that will allow Denis Lepage to enrich a personal prize list that will ultimately remain as one of the most flattering of this end of the 20th century, just that...
1979...a Kat Mandu adventure that will not necessarily remain the best known of all those of Denis Lepage but of obvious interest, that's for sure...
1980...an adventure that will continue the following decade. Of course, the level of success will decline somewhat, but it doesn't matter...
1980...on the other hand, when it is the turn of the qualitative level to weaken, there, on the other hand, there is reason to ask some questions...
1981...added to this is a style and sound that have barely evolved, which is not going to help it last over time, that's for sure...
1982...without a radical change in the fundamentals of the group as soon as possible, its future risks being compromised to say the least...
1982...it's a little better but the competition has already taken a lot of steps ahead. So watch out for the road crash that is fast approaching...
1982...it comes from a good feeling of putting a little finesse and lightness in all that but it will not be enough in the end...
1983...the level is really too average to hope to last like this for much longer. It smells like the end of all this, it's almost inevitable...
1986...we thought we would never see them again and yet here they are back in a form that we will call certain. A return that is unfortunately far too late...
1987...they will have at least tried as they say. Too bad they did not react a little earlier because the future could have been much better for them...
1987...they will have gone as far as possible, even if success will have hardly followed in the end. The main thing is to participate, as they say...
1989...an adventure that lasted about ten years, which is not so bad after all. Many others lasted less than that in any case...
