Kenny Logins, whose real name is Kenneth Loggins, is an American singer-songwriter who started his artistic career by creating the group Second Helping, a group with which he produced 3 singles between 1968 and 1969. Then he lent his talents as a composer to the group Nitty Gritty Dirt Band at the beginning of the 70s, group for which he will write 4 songs.
A start of recognition came from the year 1972, when he joined forces with Jim Messina with whom he formed the duo Loggins and Messina. An adventure that will last until 1977, producing 6 albums and enjoying more than certain success since they will sell no less than 16 million records, just that.
Loggins therefore took his destiny back in hand from the year 1977, when he released his first solo album "Celebrate me home", a first album well received by the public and which gave him his first solo success with the title "I believe in love”, a luxury cover of the title by Barbra Streisand.
New album "Nightwatch" a year later in 1978, an album of notorious success thanks to the title "Whenever I call you‘ friend" which he performed in duet with Stevie Nicks and which was to make a real worldwide hit.
1979 saw the release of the massive single "What a fool believes", a single he co-wrote a few months earlier with Michael Mcdonald of the Doobie Brothers. Single that would become one of the biggest hits of the band's entire discography. A collaboration that will also produce the single "This is it", but which, this time, will be used for Logins. A title which will be the biggest success of his album "Keep the fire" which comes out that year.
Small break of 3 years before returning in 1982 with the album "High adventure", album which allows the singer to return directly to the head pack at the beginning of the decade. Album which will mainly produce the hit "Welcome to heartlight" which will be released in 1983.
Then came the year 1984 and especially the release of a film called Footloose. Film with average success but whose soundtrack will be a real hit. In particular thanks to the flagship title signed by Logins and which bears the same name as the film. The track will be one of the biggest musical hits of the year and will definitely establish Logins as one of the best songwriters of his generation.
New solo album "Vox humana" in 1985, album with average success and which painfully produced the hit of the same name.
The artist rebounded impressively in 1986 and again thanks to a soundtrack. This time around, on one of the most successful films of the decade, Top Gun. Logins has the second biggest success of his personal career with the huge title "Danger zone". Soundtracks which succeeded him rather well since he did it again a year later in 1987 with this time the soundtrack of the film Over the Top with Stallone, for which he signed the title "Meet me hafl way" and which was going to be a hue success in turn.
And it’s another film, this time Caddyshack, which brings him his last notorious hit in 1988 with the title "Nobody's fool".
A year 1988 which also saw the release of a new album "Back to avalon" but there was nothing to do, the success on the album side was once again mixed. The album will not produce any major hits ... Ditto for all the albums that will be released during the 1990s.
His last major hit will come, as if by chance, once again from a soundtrack. The film One fine day will allow him to sign a last high class title with “For the first time”.
To discover or rediscover.

Clips :
1977 ... first title and first success. Certainly small in scope, but all the same. Rather a good omen for the rest of the events ...
1978 ... charming and above all shocking duo which offers the singer his first global top hit. A startling career to say the least !
1979 ... this title will not have the same level of success as its predecessors but the dynamic of success is now in place and that is the main thing
1979 ... business picks up again. The artist delivers here a title full of finesse and lightness that works perfectly. New top hit !
1980 ... the transition to the next decade is without much success. But what is certain is that given the potential of the singer, we imagine that at some point, something big will happen, that's for sure
1980 ... the pace suddenly picks up, as does the level of success. Since his debut, the singer has released an average of 2 songs per year. One medium, the other top. This one is necessarily part of the 2nd category ...
1982 ... small air gap in 1981 and rather timid return in this year 1982. Even if the title is playful, the title will know only a modest success in the Charts ...
1983 ... we start again on the rhythm of 2 titles per year. Despite an obvious quality, this title will be the 'little' hit of the year. We can therefore imagine what the second will be ...
1983 ... the rise in power is linear and there is not much missing for the singer to start touching the stars. It won't be long ...
1984 ... then THIS title comes ! The title which will literally explode its notoriety and make him fit One Shot into the musical legend of the 80s. Here he simply signs one of the biggest dance hits of the decade, all on a rhythm to make your head spin. MAS-TER-FUL !
1984 ... following the logic of previous years, since this time it was the first title that worked perfectly, the second will therefore necessarily be a notch below ...
1985 ... the artist will never repeat the feat of 'Footlose' but all of his discography is of superior quality, it is undeniable. And even if the momentum for success is weakening slightly, it still remains well above average !
1985 ... exceptionally, this year 1985 will have 3 titles. In an ocean of fast-paced titles, here comes the Intimist moment that goes well with this very high caliber Ultimate Slow. Good in all areas, the guy !
1985 ... yet another excellent title which paradoxically only experienced a fairly modest ranking. Go figure ...
1986 ... new planetary top hit. Obviously, being part of the soundtrack of one of the most significant films of the decade is a significant asset. HU-GE !
1986 ... second extract from the same soundtrack and the least we can say is that it sends serious. In any case, a real success !
1987 ... new movie soundtrack, this time for 'Over The Top'. The artist delivers us here a new Intimist title of any beauty which literally floats in the air and which shows a know-how among the best of the moment in this field. MA-GIC !
1988 ... and it continues in the successful soundtracks. This time, he participates in that of 'Caddyshack II'. And whatever the film, the soundtracks bring him luck, it's obvious !
1989 ... new year single title, something extremely rare concerning him. And always this rhythm which borders on the speed of light. A constant with him !
1991 ... he will have crossed the decade 70, then the decade 80 and here he proudly begins the decade 90. A decade which will unfortunately be much less favorable ...
1992 ... a new sweet parenthesis with this title which works very well. Charts side on the other hand, the level of success begins to reduce like a skin of grief ...
1992 ... in a decade of 90 where everything goes very quickly, too fast, the singer seriously begins to lose ground on the competition. Especially since he changes little style side and that, he risks inevitably paying it at one time or another ...
1994 ... a nice ballad, certainly, but what people want in this decade of the 90s is above all a piece that moves and mainly pure and hard Dance. We are far from it ...
1996 ... he will save the furniture thanks to a new soundtrack, this time 'One Fine Day'. But it will be the last time ...
1997 ... the last song of the decade and almost of his career. It has finally known how to evolve on the sound side but it is already too late, the competition is now light years ahead. Anyway, the adventure was beautiful, at times grandiose, and that's the main thing !
