Five small letters ...

Five Letters, despite its Anglo-Saxon name, is a French group made up of Claude Vallois and Denis Desrouvres.

Very little information about them except that they are the origin of the huge Single "Ma keen dawn". Single released in 1980, which will make a real planetary success and propel the 2 accomplices on the front of the scene in a shattering way.

Other titles will be released but they will be unable to compete with such a gem.

Piece of anthology 100 % Made in France !

Tracks :

1977 ... very typical 70s sound. Just like the style. It's hard to imagine at this stage that they will produce a few years later one of the most beautiful Ultimate Slows of the end of the 20th century ...

1979 ... which says end of 70, necessarily says Disco. The group tries it out with varying degrees of success. For now, we will say moreover rather less ...

1980 ... a first draft of Ultimate Slow. We are far, very far from perfection. But there is better, it's clear...

1980 ... then THIS title comes ! A title carried by an inspiration from who knows where and which will very quickly become one of the biggest Ultimate Slows of the decade. And of this end of the twentieth century period ! MA-GIC !

1982 ... why change a recipe that has proven itself, that's what the group thinks. Admittedly, their now inimitable style is still as effective as ever, but that is not enough to reproduce the previous exploit...

1983 ... in the same vein. We take the same and start again. Difficult to find the brilliant inspiration of the beginning of the decade ...

1985 ... in the end, the group only managed to produce one exceptional track. But it's still better than nothing !

1990 ... a last attempt, with a renewed sound, typical of the early 90s. Unfortunately, that won't change much ...
