Faith and healing...

Ian McCulloch is an English singer-songwriter best known for being the leader of the band 'Echo & The Bunnymen'.

Artist who began his artistic career in 1977 in a band called 'The Crucial Three', a band with a very short-lived destiny and in which he would cross paths with Julian Cope and Pete Wylie (two friends who would later form the band 'Wah!').

It was in 1978 that the 'Echo & The Bunnymen' adventure began, an adventure that would last nearly 10 years and allow the artist to experience fame and fortune.

Even though he would produce a first personal title called "September song" in 1984, his solo career really began in 1989 with the production of a first album called "Candleland". Album that will prove for sure that the artist can exist alone, notably thanks to the production of a first major Single "Proud to fall" the same year followed by "Faith and healing" and "Candleland (The second coming)" a year later in 1990.

New album "Mysterio" two years later in 1992, album with less success than its predecessor but which will still produce the big Single "Lover lover lover".

He will know a last major success in 2003 with the album "Slideling", album carried by the Single "Sliding".

Adventure Echo & The Bunnymen :

Tracks :

1984...a first solo test with this luxury cover of Walter Huston's title dating from 1938. A daring bet but a bet won on this one...

1989...but the real solo take-off came with the release of his first opus at the very end of the 80s. A take-off that would see him succeed in shining on both sides of the Atlantic...

1990...he will shine a little less with this new title but he will shine all the same a minimum. That's already something...

1990...it's probably THIS title that will remain the most emblematic. It must be said that singing along with Elizabeth Fraser was necessarily synonymous with guaranteed recognition. HU-GE !

1992...surprisingly this new opus will only work in the United States at first. After that, as long as it works somewhere, who would honestly complain...

1992...business is picking up on both sides of the Atlantic, which can only reassure us about what will happen next. For the moment, everything is going as planned...

1992...the euphoria will quickly fall unfortunately with this new title which will pass completely under the radar. Hard law of the trade...

1992...this one won't even be officially released but given the few titles he will ultimately produce solo, it was necessary to highlight as many as possible...

2003...we'll lose sight of him for almost 11 years but he'll be back no matter what. A winning return that will prove that there are still people to follow him...

2003...there are still people to follow him but this title will still be his last Single to be officially released...

2012... another 9-year air hole but here he is again anyway. We could have thought that this time we wouldn't see him again but that was a bad way of knowing him...

2012...it is clear that he has not said everything at first sight or at least sung everything. He still has material in the boxes and he intends to take advantage of it...

2012...and it's certainly not the basic fans who will complain, far from it even if they're the only ones following him now...

2012...so last title or not on the solo side ? Only the future can answer the question and possibly him if he wants it of course...
