Do it again Billie Jean...

Not much interesting information about Club House other than the fact that it's an Italian band originally composed of Carl Fanini, Gianfranco Bortolotti, Hidalgo Serra and a certain...Silvio Pozzoli !

Group that will remain mainly in the musical history of this end of the 20th century for the high-caliber single "Do it again / Billie Jean" which will be released in 1983.

For this reason alone, we had to devote this article to them.

To discover or rediscover.

Clips :

1983...first title and direct worldwide jackpot. Sampling together Steely Dan's 'Do it again' from 1972 and Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' from 1983 could be a very daring bet. Daring bet but perfectly successful in any case !

1983...they are doing it again with this time a mix of 'Superstition' by Stevie Wonder dating from 1972 with 'Good times' by Chic dating from 1979. As much as the mayonnaise will have taken perfectly on the previous title, as much on this one the mayonnaise will have risen very little...

1987...they say to themselves, since it worked once, there's no reason why it shouldn't work at least a second time. So they try again 4 years later with this mix of the title 'Yéké yéké' by Mory Kanté dating from 1984 with 'I'm a man' by the Spencer Davis Group dating from 1967. Another failure unfortunately...

1989... they learned the lesson at first sight and come back this time with something new. Nice try but even with something new, the band can't come to the surface...

1990...it's the transition to the next decade that will finally allow them to come back a little bit in the race. This title will know a planetary destiny much more favorable than its predecessors. Phew...

1991...the group is constantly yoyoing and fails to line up 2 consecutive successful titles. This title will come out in extremis in the United States but only there...

1992...as for this one, it will pass squarely 'through'. It must be said that the competition is plethoric at the beginning of the 90s on the Dance side and only the best come out...

1993 ... one could have imagined that this new disappointment would seal the fate of the group and now he is back in force with this title. A return to grace completely unexpected but which allows him to continue to believe in it a minimum...

1994...and he is right to believe it since he confirms with this new title his obvious return to the front of the stage. Now let's hope it lasts...

1994... the return will have been stealthy to say the least once again. They are going to get their last hit here and of small caliber moreover...

1995... they cover here a title from Eric Carmen dating from 1975 and make with it an ultra Dance version. A song repeated over and over again and mainly in soft mode. This ultra-fast version won't be the best, that's for sure...

1996...it's time for the adventure to end because the group now does more extras than anything else. They will always be able to boast of having produced one of the big Dance titles of the 80s and that, nothing, and no one, can take away from them...
