Not much interesting information about The Swingers except that it is a New Zealand band formed in 1979 and originally composed of Phil Judd, Wayne Stevens and Mark Hough.
A band that will remain mainly in the musical history of this end of the 20th century for the big Single "Counting the beat" which will be released in 1981.
For this reason alone, we had to dedicate this article to them.

Tracks :
1979...first title and already first success, certainly limited to their native land but it's still better than nothing as they say...
1981... from the second title the group will get its direct ticket to posterity. A title that will remain as their reference title but it must be said that given the few titles produced the choice will have been necessarily limited...
1981...a year 1981 which will remain as their reference year. It must be said that their only album will be released that year, just like the few titles which will have allowed them to be talked about in a significant way...
1981...three titles will be released that year and all three will be ranked. Certainly at different levels but all three will have been popular with the public in any case...
1982...the last Single to be officially released. A very light discography for a shooting star group that still managed to mark a little bit the musical history of this end of the 20th century...
