Jean Schultheis is a French singer-songwriter who started playing the piano at the age of 5 and entered the Conservatory at the age of 14. He also won a First Prize in percussion in 1963.
He really started his artistic career in the mid-1970s when he played the role of public prosecutor Fouquier-Tinville in the musical "La Revolution Française" by Claude-Michel Schönberg.
Then he becomes in turn musician of Michel Jonasz and Maxime Le Forestier for whom he plays piano and drums.
He even released a first album "Spectacles" in 1978, an album of modest success.
It was in 1981 that everything accelerated when he was noticed in the orchestra accompanying Jacques Martin's show "Dimanche Martin".
But it is above all the Single "Confidence pour confidence", released the same year, which will propel him in a dazzling way to the front of the stage. The Single is a real hit and the singer's notoriety explodes. The album "Abracadabra" was released immediately.
A dazzling but fleeting success because the artist will be unable to repeat the feat despite the subsequent release of other albums.
He had a last relative success in 1987 with the Single “Va te faire voir (chez les Grecs)”.
