Condition critical...

Quiet Riot is an American band formed in 1973 and originally composed of Randy Rhoads, Kelly Garni, Kevin DuBrow and Drew Forsyth. Group originally named 'Mach 1' then 'Little Women' before finally taking the name Quiet Riot in 1975.

The group released his first self-titled album two years later in 1977. An album that would go completely unnoticed since it would only be released in…Japan. Ditto for "Quiet Riot II" a year later in 1978. To this is added very strong tensions within the group which will result in an outright dissolution of the latter in 1980...

The group was reborn from its ashes two years later in 1982 with a reorganized team and a signing with CBS Records. Label which allows the group to release a new album "Metal health" a year later in 1983, an album which will not go unnoticed this time, far from it !

In particular thanks to a revisited version for the less noticed of the title "Cum on feel the noize" of Slade, title dating from 1973. A revisited version so successful that it will bring to the group the biggest success of all its discography on the Singles side, just that !

The icing on the cake, this version will stay in history as the first Heavy Metal title to enter the American Billboard Hot 100, a real feat ! Not to mention that the album "Metal health" will be the 1st Heavy Metal album to be ranked No.1 in the Charts, another feat !

The album will produce a second major Single with the title "Bang your head (Metal health)", which is less successful but notoriously successful all the same.

New album "Condition critical" the following year in 1984, an album which will experience a greater level of global success but which, paradoxically, will struggle to produce Singles of the same level as the previous album. Only the Single "Mama weer all craze now", another cover of a Slade title dating from 1972, will know the favors of the public.

Following this failure, new tensions arise within the group but also with the fans. With the consequences of two successive failures with the albums "QR III" in 1986 and "QR" in 1988. No album will produce a hit worthy of the name and the group will end up breaking up again in 1989...

The group will be reborn from its ashes a few years later and will release a number of albums, to say the least. Most of which will unfortunately not be classified.

1975...a first title that immediately sets the trend : with them, on the tempo side, it's going to go fast and above all it's going to beat. So we have been warned...

1977...for the moment the group is just doing extras and can't get its first success. We'll have to be a little patient...

1978... for the big take-off it will not be for this year 1978 either. We can always say that the 70s will have at least allowed them to make themselves known at least...

1983... they will have to wait 5 more years but this time will be the right one ! All thanks to this revisited version of the title of Slade dating from 1973. A version so close to the original that it will not bring much more in truth. But who will offer the group the biggest success of all his discography all the same !

1983...the GREAT year of the group. Even if this title will not be able to compete with its predecessor in terms of success in the Charts, it will still bring the group a second star to add to his list. Alright little guys !

1984 ... we could have hoped that it was well and truly on this time for the group but the sequel will prove to be slightly more complicated to manage than expected. And this despite a title that is far from undeserving, it's clear...

1984... there will be a plethora of titles in this year 1984 but half will pass 'through'. Slight air hole or underlying trend, the future will tell us...

1984...and it's yet another revisited version of a Slade title dating from 1972 that will allow them to save the furniture in extremis. But this time it will be the last time Slade saves them...

1984...from now on the group will do more extras than anything else. And yet it is not for lack of good will, it is clear...

1984...one of the 'loser' titles of the year. For once they slowed down the tempo drastically, they are not even rewarded for their efforts...

1984...there's nothing to do, their basic fans can't bear to see them venture down calm and serene paths. Another 'through'...

1986... only the albums still manage to get away with it for a little while. On the Singles side unfortunately, the mass is now said for good...

1986... which does not prevent them from continuing their adventure as they see fit. And given what they still have to offer, they would be wrong to bother !

1988...a group which will not remain as the best known in its musical field but which surely does not have to be ashamed of all that he will have produced. Far from there !

1988...the end of the 80's which saw them really barely succeed in the Charts. Nothing helps and the course is now more of an obstacle course than anything else...

1993 ... when we thought the case was definitely folded, here they are back 5 years later in a form that we will describe as relative. In any case, insufficient for a possible comeback...

1993... it is clear that the public has gone elsewhere for some time but that does not bother the band. The main thing for him is to participate, it is clear...

1995...and what may seem crazy is that the adventure will continue for years and years. Who would've believed that...?

1995...nothing, no one, seems able to stop their enthusiasm. After, continue for continue, there is enough to ask questions. That they don't want to ask anyway...

1999...almost 25 years after their debut, the little guys are still there. They take an obvious pleasure in believing in it again and again and this extreme attitude commands respect somewhere...

2001...and here they are beginning their 4th decade of career. Unfortunately, this decade will not be more favorable to them than the previous one...

2001... all in strength/finesse once again, a technique that they clearly master. But even in this particular register, it won't bring them more than that...

2001...they put the cover directly behind. It is certain that we are not really used to seeing them so present in this area...

2006...something obviously changed, especially the sound. We could have hoped that by sticking more to the latest trends, the group could finally get back in the race. Sadly disappointed...

2006...they immediately return to their fundamentals with this title. We feel that changing their habits and especially their basic style is an almost impossible mission...

2006...a refusal to evolve which will have cost them dearly in the end. They will never have managed to pick up the leading pack and a large part of their career will have been played on the margins of the big leagues. Hard law of the trade...

2017... once again it was thought that the group had laid down their arms for good. But it was very bad to know them because here they are again 11 years later...

2017...an umpteenth comeback that won't change anything because what didn't work during the previous decade won't work anymore during this decade...

2017...the main thing is to have fun in what you do. A maxim that they made their own at first sight to come back like that non-stop no matter what...
