The Armory Show is an English group formed in 1983 and originally composed of Richard Jobson, Russell Webb, Jon McGeoch and John Doyle.
Jobson and Well, previously found in 'The Skids'. As for Doyle and McGeoch, we will have seen them appear before in the group 'Magazine'.
Group whose name would be a reference in truth to the modern art exhibition 'The Armory Show' which was held in New York in 1913.
They released a first Single "Castles in Spain" in 1984, a Single that will allow them to achieve a first success of esteem.
Then it's the turn of their first album "Waiting for the floods" to be released in 1985, an album which will mainly produce the high-caliber Single "The glory of love".
A second album was in preparation but it will never see the light of day because the group will separate before it has had time to go out...
