Bow Wow Wow is an English band formed in 1980 by Malcolm McLaren originally to promote Vivienne Westwood's "New Romantic" clothing line.
To this end, he will outright debauch Matthew Ashman, Leigh Gorman and David Barbarossa from the group Adam and the Ants. However, it would take six months for him to find the singer of the group in the person of Annabella Lwin. Recruitment which is controversial because she is only 13 years old ...
The band's first Single "C 30 C 60 C 90 Go" was released in 1980. For a first try, it was quite successful. The group obtains its first classified title. Then follows the album "Your cassette fart". Album which also knows a more than honorable course in the Charts.
The year 1981 saw the release of 3 Singles which would obtain only rather modest places in the English Top Singles. The album "See jungle!" See jungle! Go join your gang, yeah. City all over! Go ape crazy” which comes out the same year will do a little better in the Top Albums.
They would have to wait until 1982 to see their efforts finally paid off when the Single "Go wild in the country" was released. This time it’s heavy and the success is far greater than the previous Singles.
But that's without counting on the Single "I want candy" (a cover of a Stangeloves track from the 60s). Flagship Single which was released shortly after and which would become the group's biggest hit. The title is a huge planetary success.
New success on the Singles side in 1983 with the title "Do you wanna hold me" which once again hits the planet. The album "Whe the going gets tough, the tough get goin" from which it is extracted was only relatively successful.
But tensions between members and overwork will get the better of the group which will not produce anything really interesting thereafter.

Tracks :
1980 ... the beginnings with a bang. A first title which already spins at 200 km/h. A boost that will very quickly become the trademark of the group ...
1981 ... well, there we are close to the speed of light. The least we can say is that it's really beating. To make us dizzy ...
1981 ... we continue on the same dynamic. A group that will undoubtedly remain as one of the fastest of the decade !
1981 ... a funny Chihuahua, to say the least. Anyway, the title that we will qualify for the moment as the most successful of all. It's progressing !
1982 ... the BIG year. The year of the consecration with this first title which allows them to start touching the top of the charts
1982 ... a title a little notch below in terms of ranking. On the other hand, a melodic structure of a higher level than the previous one, it is clear
1982 ... then arrives the HUGE title which will make them return to the legend. A global mega hit which sets fire to all the Dancefloor on the planet and consecrates them definitively. MAS-TER-FUL !
1982 ... a nice sequel but one that is unable to compete with the previous steamroller. The impossible no one is bound...
1982 ... everything and its opposite in this decidedly incredible year from every point of view. This title will not even be classified ...
1983 ... change of vintage and last notorious hit. And yes, already. A career that has been as dazzling as the tempo of their songs ...
1983 ... one last little title and then it goes. Clap of the end of an adventure that will have allowed them to touch the stars, that's already it !
