Stéphanie (De Monaco) is a Monegasque singer, whose particularity - which everyone knows - is to be a princess, daughter of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace.
After a literary baccalaureate, she started off as a designer for a swimwear line that she created herself. Then she opened a cafe and a store specializing in the sale of jeans.
And in 1986, things suddenly accelerated when she recorded a song that Jeanne Mas had just refused and called… "Ouragan". It’s a phenomenal hit !
A card that surprises everyone considering Stéphanie’s status as a debutante, reinforced by a crazy and exuberant side that infuriates more than one.
This will not prevent the title from remaining 10 weeks in the first place of the Top50 and 4 months in the end in the ranking.
On the strength of this first success, the album "Besoin" was released immediately and brought on a stage a second mega-hit with "Flash" which raised the singer to the rank of essential star.
Unfortunately, the bellows will drop as quickly as it is mounted. The release of the Single "Les fleurs du mal" in 1987 will be a relative failure and the following "Live your life" will not do much better.
She will attempt a comeback a few years later, as a back which will give nothing.

1986 ... that, for a hurricane, it's a hell of a hurricane ! A HUGE class 5 hurricane named Stéphanie who will devastate all Dancefloor this year and remain forever as one of the biggest dance hits of the decade on the French side. A Stéphanie propelled at the speed of light on the front of the stage and which will remain as one of the biggest sensations of the 80s !
1986 ... she relapses in stride and lines up a second hit almost as big as the first. Nothing and no one can stop her !
1986 ... a title which smells of hot sand but which will go completely unnoticed ... Don't worry, Yaka Dansé !
1987 ... after the mega hits Dance, here comes the break 'take out the handkerchiefs' with this title in tribute to her ex-boyfriend ... An ex-boyfriend who is none other than Paul Belmondo. As a farewell gift, we do worse !
1987 ... a sequel that will prove to be much more complicated to manage than expected ... The English language titles will rather harm her than anything else ...
1987 ... this title will not do better. The years go by and are not alike, to say the least. Stéphanie will be up as quickly as she has come down ...
1991 ... a change of decade that rhymes with a return of success ? Unfortunately no ... Stéphanie is now part of the past
1991 ... and yet she puts her good will into it, it's obvious. But when the melody is average, its charm and its natural plasticity are no longer enough to make the difference ...
1992 ... and yes, she will have sung on a song of the Genius of Dance. Well, just a few words, but still ...
